Social Empires is a strategy game where you build a village, send villagers out to gather resources, train troops and defend yourself against trolls. Here it's a browser game with no Flash, running on a server of our own where your progress is saved to your account.
Social Empires is a classic of strategy and village management. You start with a town hall and a few villagers, and with them you build houses, crops, a mill and a mine until your village becomes an empire.
Around you, trolls camp nearby and attack every few hours. There are barracks to train infantry, archers, cavalry and siege machines, and towers to protect what you've built.
Tap the town hall, choose Train and send your villagers to the crops to get food or to the trees to get wood. When the food is ready, an icon appears: tap it and it's added to your storage.
With what you gather, you build more houses, a mill or a barracks. The higher you level up, the more buildings, troops and towers unlock, and every level gives you a new title, from Slave to Conqueror.
The original game needed Flash, a technology browsers stopped supporting. This edition runs directly in Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari: there's no Flash to install, no plugins and no program to download.
It works in any modern browser, on a computer as well as on a phone or tablet. Log in with your account from whatever device you have handy, and your village is right where you left it.
Social Empires runs on a FB Games server of its own. Each player has an account, and your village is saved on the server, not in the browser, so you can switch devices without losing anything.
